Corona Virus Response – going forward
Dear Congregation, Government legislation published on the Corona virus means the
following will be put in place at St. Thomas and with immediate effect:
If you are a member of a home group/fellowship group and STMC service organisation
e.g. W.A, please use that meeting time as your “church” time and don’t come to church
on Sundays. This strategy will assist us to keep our numbers below the 100 level, as
required by law, on Sundays.
If you are not part of a home group/fellowship group, Rev. Tim will still give church
services on Sundays at the usual time. There will be strict hygiene protocols and controls
in place.
Sunday services will be recorded and made available online on Sundays
(www.plettmethodist.co.za) on the STMC Facebook page (St. Thomas Methodist Church,
Plettenberg Bay) and on CD, and as WhatsApp video, to use in your home
group/fellowship group.
Wednesday Bible Study (10-11 am) continues as usual in the Church.
FGV and Stromboli have cancelled their weekly services until further notice.
The elderly (70 +) must not come to church until the crisis has passed.
Youth Church is closed until further notice.
Children’s Church is closed until further notice.
If you are ill – please self-isolate and stay at home.
All organisations and groups that meet must have strict hygiene protocols in place,
including the washing/sanitizing of hands, no hugging, no shaking of hands, no greeting
with a kiss.
Any further changes will be sent to you immediately.
God bless,
Rev. Tim
