Radically Raised Up
HOME GROUP RESOURCE: Radically Raised Up
Readings John 2: 13-25 and 1 Corinthians 1:18-25
Reflection:
1. Do you get angry? If so, how do you show anger? Is there a right time to be
angry? How do you react when you are on the receiving end of anger and
aggression from someone else?
2. What does the following Bible reading from Ephesians 4 say about anger?
25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your
neighbour, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”:
Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil
a foothold.
3. Jesus clearly was angry in the Temple (vs 15-16). Why? What is your
reaction to how Jesus behaved?
4. What did Jesus mean with his statement in verse 19?
5. What do verses 24 and 25 tell us about Jesus, and salvation?
6. What is your reaction to my statement: “Jesus made it clear that the
worship of God was not to be dependent on a building (not even the
temple of Jerusalem) or a fixed place (like a synagogue); God did not live in
buildings – God is to be found in people; and therefore – people matter to
God! Every person matters to God.”
7. Do you believe that you matter to God?
8. What will need to change in your life for you to be able to say of yourself –
“I am radically raised up in Jesus!”
Pray for one another.
God bless
