APRIL NEWSLETTER 2024

WOMEN’S AUXILIARY
PLETTENBERG BAY

April has certainly not only been the month of showers but quite stunning electrical storms with hail. Something we are definitely not used to hearing in Plett. God has blessed us though with grass that is looking lush and green and flowers that continue to bloom.

The electric storm over Keurboomsrivier on Sunday evening

The ladies decided to try out a new fundraiser this month in the form of a Pudding Sunday. What a great success this was. We were overwhelmed with the support and donations from the congregation. The WA ladies served delicious malva and custard as well as a mouthwatering strawberry mousse. We managed to raise a total of R3186.20, which was fantastic, and this enables us to serve the community in many ways.

During our monthly meeting, which Sue Stephenson led together with her team, we were blessed to have Melanie van der Westhuizen give us a very informative talk on understanding grief and how to deal with all the emotions that come with it.

A wonderful event on the 21st April was the Bitou Day of Prayer. This was absolutely uplifting and so good for the soul and the community. Many members of the various churches gathered on the Primary school field and offered prayers for our country, the elections and our community.  It was truly a blessed day

The Executive continue to give of their time and efforts in order to ensure that the branch runs smoothly and that the needs of the ladies, our church and the community are addressed and supported where possible.

We would not be able to do this without the never-ending support of all the ladies in the    branch who never shy away from helping out wherever they can. Thank you ladies for always being there.

Stay Blessed and always look up!
