MARCH NEWSLETTER 2024

Women’s Auxiliary
Plettenberg Bay

What’s been happening in W A during the month of March?

It is hard to believe we are already in March. We are all busy with many projects and trying to ensure that we are pleasing the Lord by serving those less fortunate and lending a hand or a listening ear to those who are in need.

A special celebration this month was Women’s World Day of Prayer. This was held on Friday 1 March and was attended by over 100 people from 8 different churches in Plett. The program was written by the christian women of Palestine and this was so meaningful at this particular time.

Three delegates and 4 of our members who are on the District Executive attended the District meetings from the 15-16th March at the Lorraine Branch in Gqeberha. A wonderful time filled with inspiring messages and enjoying fellowship with each other

On Easter Sunday the WA supply the congregation with delicious Hot Cross Buns after each service and this is an outreach we truly enjoy by getting together on the Saturday morning buttering many Hot Cross buns.

Our outreach as always continues relentlessly as there is always a need in our community.

This month we have done clothing donations to various sources. Bottle tops and yoghurt tubs continue to be collected for wheelchairs and the soup kitchen respectively.

Our support of youth who were addicted to tik and who are in a rehab centre has been very successful and the young people are doing very well and have been given work to do in the centre.

Beanies will always be a requirement for the little ones in winter and we already have requests for 778 beanies and that is only some of the crèches so please keep those knitting needles clacking
