Related scripture: Isaiah 6:1-8
Before going through the Isaiah passage, what was the picture we’ would have painted in the frame of any recollection we had of Isaiah’s vision and experience?
How did that initial picture of ours change, if at all, in going through the passage on Sunday?
Three standard discipleship questions after listening to a Sunday Message: (i.e. hear it on Sunday, live it from Monday……)
1. What did we learn?
2. Where, or how, did Holy Spirit nudge my heart?
3. What do we need to DO, or BE(Become)? …. As the song goes: “Do Be Do BE Do”
When reading scripture passages, how important is it to read the passage from different translations? Here’s the example from Sunday’s message on how ”Jehovah Sabaoth” was to be understood?
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty [NIV]
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts [NRSV; KJV]
Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of Hosts [YLT: Youngs Literal Translation] Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies [NLT]
And also, in perhaps using aids such as Bible Dictionaries and Commentaries?
What was your main ‘takeaway’ from Sunday?
