JULY/AUGUST NEWSLETTER

WOMEN’S AUXILIARY PLETTENBERG BAY

God always seem to nudge us when we have a task to do. I have been busy these past few months and hence the reason for combining July and August newsletters into one. God wanted me to share what was on my mind about PEOPLE and more importantly how God feels about people and God’s purpose for us. I also need to share about the wonderflu things the WA has been doing over the past two months.

How does God feel about people?

In Isaiah 43:4, it says, “Since you are precious and honored in my sight and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” In God’s eyes, we are precious and loved. He loves us so much that he would exchange nations for our life.

What is Gods purpose for us?

God has a purpose for each person.  To be in a relationship with Him- Father, Son and Holy Spirit – and to be in relationship with others.

God created man in His image, and for four basic purposes: to have fellowship with, to cultivate the garden, to be fruitful and multiply and to rule over the earth and all that is in it.

The above feelings and purpose of God is so much of what the WA stands for. Each person on this Earth is precious and we must treat him or her as such with Love and Dignity. Much of what we do involves relationships with many others and our meetings overflow with fellowship and love. We need to nurture these relationships as we would a garden and tend them with care and compassion. We have ensured that the fruits God has given us have been distributed amongst those who need it the most and God in returned has always multiplied the supplies.

Our July meeting was all about FUN and fellowship. Christine led the meeting and decided we should revert to being childlike and devised some very tricky games for us to play. What fun trying to sink those ping pong balls into a small hole. The laughter amongst the ladies was infectious.

Mid July we had a Soup and Bingo evening, which was thoroughly, enjoyed by members of the    congregation and WA families alike. It was very well attended and the soup was delicious on a cold winters evening.

August brought Women’s month and the WA held their annual WA service on the 11th. We were blessed to have Rev. Angie Pickard deliver the message at our service. She spoke on how God makes all things beautiful in His time. The congregation who continue to support us so well in our activities and outreaches also enjoyed the service. The WA treated everyone to scrumptious eats after the service.

Stay Blessed and always look up!
