Let’s test our memories in identifying many of ‘God in Christ’s Open Hands’ in the chorus of Rick Founds’ 1989 song: Lord I lift Your name on high.

God, Jesus with ‘0pen Hands’ RECEIVED many outcasts, strange, disrespected, morally wrong people into his presence – even used them for his purpose! Search the OT & NT scriptures to support this statement.

In relation to the above statement, and supporting scriptures: How are we living out the ever-growing image of Jesus in our lives, in this regard in today’s challenging world?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Search the scriptures for passages indicating Jesus’ example, even parables of LOVING the stranger., How is this seen in and through our lives?                                                                                                                                                                    

Open Hands to bless … how are we living out Christ within us in this regard?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

In this Lenten Time of prayer, fasting and (alms) giving … revisit the opening exercise above. Contemplate how each image of God in Christ’s Open Hands encourage, challenge, affirm, even transform each of us in our Lenten Journey toward Resurrection Sunday.
