OCCASIONS

A wide variety of special occasions are held throughout the year with invited speakers. This year the WA celebrated their National Organisations 100 years of service and mission with a Spring Tea.
CHRISSSIES

“Chrissies” (after the late Chrissie Bennett) in an inter-denominational meeting which takes place on the fourth Tuesday of every month in the STMC hall. This informal get together brings many lonely people together to enjoy a chat over a cup of tea (accompanied by scrumptious eats). Chrissie’s vision was first implemented in 1992 and continues to fill a need within our community today. A special Christmas Party at the end of the year is always enjoyed by all.
FETE

STMC annual fete is a “calendar event”, which the WA “drive” The start of this event dates back to 1987 and brings so many of the Plett community together. All profits raised from this day of fun go towards mission projects administered by STMC or in partnership with local organisations.
HANDWORK

The Ladies of the WA take their mission initiatives to heart. Knitting and crocheting squares for blankets and making jerseys for babies. They also sew pencil cases and fill them with goodies for the children going to school for the first time. Being very aware of the needy within our community the ladies and the congregation collect groceries for Food Parcels which are distributed at Christmastime.
Fellowship & Friendship
Joy is the word that best describes any gathering of the ladies of the W.A. Joy in the Lord, Joy in Service, Joy in Friendship, Joy in sharing the storms of each other’s lives, and Joy in sharing the sunny ones too. Here are a few of our Happy Times together celebrating our National Women’s Auxiliary’s 100th Anniversary!
