OUR VISION & MISSION

‘Since you have accepted Christ Jesus as Lord, live in union with him. Keep your roots deep in him, build your lives on him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving.’

Colossians2:6,7

CONNECTING TO GOD AND ONE ANOTHER

We accept, under  God’s guidance, our calling to become a link between God and  humankind and as an extension of this union to reach out to all sectors of our church and community

VISION STATEMENT

To be evangelically powerful, spiritually invigorated, purposefully connected, and community responsive.

OUR MODEL OF MINISTRY

MISSION STATEMENT

The vision will be achieved by:

      • Sharing the gospel of the Good News of Jesus Christ with all residents and visitors to the Bitou area.
      • Welcoming seekers and followers into the St Thomas Church Family as we worship and fellowship in  harmony together, while our children and youth are nurtured in a safe, loving, learning and fun environment.
      •  Providing a sanctuary where the hurt, depressed, confused, lonely and frustrated will receive encouragement through effective counsel, prayerful healing, biblical guidance, Godly hope, and loving acceptance.
      • Creating opportunities for spiritual maturity and transformation through bible studies, progressive courses, seminars, retreats, Emmaus, Bible school and Leadership training.
      • Providing a welcoming, safe and caring environment for all members through small fellowship groups, where future leadership is trained and nurtured.
      •  Guiding and equipping every willing member to discover and pursue their God-given ministry using their gifts and talents.
      • Purposefully committing to reach out and care for the disadvantaged of all ages throughout the Bitou community, in order to help alleviate poverty, hunger, unemployment and suffering.
